Revolut Pay for Lightspeed (Ecwid) stores
Simple Revolut Pay and card payments for Lightspeed (Ecwid) stores.

Overview
Revolut asked us to connect its new payment gateway, Revolut Pay and credit/debit card payments to the Lightspeed Ecommerce platform (still known to many as Ecwid). What started as a custom job for a UK based auto‑parts retailer grew into a plug‑and‑play app that any Lightspeed shop can add in minutes.
Challenge
The first merchant needed Revolut payments integrated as quickly as possible, but a one‑off custom build simply wasn't worth the investment for a small business. At the same time, the Revolut API was new and had few real-world examples. Lightspeed supports many gateways, yet none for Revolut. We had to:
- Map the Revolut APIs to the Lightspeed checkout flow.
- Ensure strict PCI compliance while letting shop owners set up with no code.
- Keep costs low so a small shop could afford it.
- Plan for future shops and feature updates, rather than a single hard‑wired install.
Outcome
We built the integration side‑by‑side with the launch customer, shipping an MVP in weeks. After live testing and tweaks, we repackaged the code as a paid app in the Lightspeed App Market. Store owners can now:
- Install the plugin, enter their Revolut keys, and go live in under ten minutes.
- Offer Revolut Pay plus regular card payments in one checkout.
- Get automatic updates as we add features or fix bugs.
The result: hundreds of UK and Ireland stores (and counting) now run daily payments through the plugin. Revolut gains wider reach, merchants get lower fees and faster checkouts, and Celestify earns steady monthly revenue while keeping the app up-to-date.
