Overview

Perry Weather is a leading US based weather safety platform with powerful software and hardware. They have an in‑house engineering team focused on the core weather stack (web and mobile apps). We step in alongside marketing to ship website features that attract visitors, turn interest into leads, and are simple for editors to manage, while the product team stays focused on building the core platform.

Challenge

Perry Weather needed web widgets that add real value, work on mobile, load fast, and are easy to use. Results had to be clear and actionable, and pages had to be SEO‑friendly and easy to update without developers. The site also needed to feel local and relevant, showing visitors customer logos from their own state, without slowing down the web browsing experience. More importantly, marketing needed to move quickly without pulling core engineers off the product.

Outcome

WGBT Calculator Widget

We built a simple Wet Bulb Globe Temperature calculator that gives a quick, reliable reading with minimal input. It auto‑detects location when allowed, applies smart defaults, and provides clear guidance instantly. It's fast, mobile optimised, and easy to embed across the site. The team can tweak copy and thresholds through the CMS without code changes.

Snow Day Probability Calculator

For US visitors, a user enters a ZIP code and to see the likelihood of snow in the area over the next few days. We designed it to be user friendly, allowing multiple location queries within seconds of each other. Editors can adjust page copy without code level changes.

Location‑based personalisation

To make case studies feel closer to home, we detect a visitor's location from their IP address and show matching customer logos, for example, Florida visitors see Florida clients. We built a lightweight GeoIP layer, a clean state to logo mapping in the CMS, and safe fallbacks if a location can't be resolved. The logic respects caching and keeps pages fast.

Built for the marketing team

All widgets ship as reusable components with CMS controls, so the team can place them on any page, modify content, and publish without developer help. The WGBT and Snow Day Probability pages bring in strong, consistent traffic, and the local logos help new visitors recognise peers in their region. As the client put it, “those pages pump traffic”. The marketing team now ships updates quickly, while Perry Weather's engineers stay focused on the core product.
